The UAMARRC membership consists of faculty and students at the University of Arizona in Tucson. The organization underwrites cash prizes and awards for students working in appropriate areas and disciplines, sponsors guest speakers, subsidizes travel for graduate students, underwrites the UA membership in the Institute for Historical Research, London, and supports outreach, including public readings of medieval and Renaissance poetry, organizing scholarly conventions, and musical and dramatic performances. It is a constituent body of the Tempe, AZ-based Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (ACMRS), and a member of the Medieval Academy of America's Committee on Centers and Regional Associations (CARA).
