ELIGIBILITY: Open to all U of A classified staff and
academic professionals.
SPECIFICATIONS: One or two entries will be accepted for
consideration. Sculpture, up to 100 pounds, and two-dimensional works in any
medium, provided they do not exceed 40" in any direction, may be submitted. The
two-dimensional entries must be suitably framed or otherwise ready for hanging.
SELECTION: A committee of jurors will select the entries to
determine award winners. Winners will be announced at the Opening
Reception on Friday, March 28, 2008. All entrants and their guests are invited
to attend.
SECURITY: Every reasonable precaution will be taken to
assure the safety of the art objects. The exhibit will be staffed during viewing
hours, and locked at other times. Note: Risk Management will not
cover damaged or stolen art unless an artist can prove a prior market for the
amount claimed.
ENTRY FORM/IDENTIFICATION: All exhibitors must
complete an entry form and AN
IDENTIFICATION CARD MUST BE AFFIXED TO THE BACK OF EACH ENTRY.
ENTRY SUBMISSION: Please submit entries at the Student Union
Gallery on Monday, March 24, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
PICK-UP: Artists must pick up their works at the Student
Union Gallery on Friday, April 18 between 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
