AUDIOVISUAL EQUIPMENT

For those who think that audiovisual equipment costs are insignificant, please keep in mind that your association spent upwards of $22,000 on audiovisual equipment for the 2005 annual meeting in Washington, DC! Please help control costs by requesting only the equipment you absolutely need.

To request audiovisual equipment, please complete the audiovisual equipment request space on the individual data form. Please note that due to the rising cost of audiovisual equipment, equipment requests will be reviewed by the program committee. Only if the committee determines that audiovisual equipment is essential to a presentation will it be approved. Because audiovisual equipment effects room scheduling, it must be requested at the time you submit your proposal. The following is a list of equipment that MESA can provide upon request:

one slide projector
dual slide projectors
standard overhead projector (for use with transparencies)
TV/VCR or DVD combo (27" TV and player for VHS tapes or DVDs)
Cassette players
CD players

MESA cannot provide LCD projectors due to the prohibitive rental costs. This means that PowerPoint presentations are not possible.
