Description and Cost
(click for Form B)
MESA’s Cooperative Book Display offers the individual or small publisher
the opportunity to display journals, bulletins, books, videos or software
without having to rent a booth space. The cost is $40 per title. A display
copy along with payment should be sent to the MESA Secretariat.
MESA will sell the display copies in the last hours of the conference,
retaining the proceeds to help offset the cost of staffing the CBD.
How Attendees Place Orders
MESA prepares a Cooperative Book Display Catalogue which lists all
titles on display. Included in the catalogue is a form for ordering directly
from the publisher or distributor.
How to Participate in the CBD
Complete the
Cooperative Book Display Form (Form B)
and return along with payment to the
MESA Secretariat. The deadline is November 1, 2005.
Send one or two copies of each title to the MESA Secretariat by November
5, 2005 or have them delivered in person to the CBD. Do NOT
ship books to the hotel, as MESA cannot incur the cost of receiving such
shipments.
Selling Books & Other Items On-site
MESA also provides a means for selling items on-site through the Cooperative
Book Display, offering a means for those wanting to sell items but cannot
staff a booth. The stipulations are:
- Complete the CBD form and pay the $40 display fee.
- Bring copies of the book or item to the CBD
during setup hours (Friday, November
18, 2005 from 2:00pm-6:00pm, located just outside Exhibit
Hall C in the Atrium). We will not accept advance shipments,
or shipments on-site. They must be brought to the exhibit.
- Complete the Selling On-site Form,
stipulating the selling cost. MESA will sell copies for a 75-25 split.
- Retrieve the remaining copies from the CBD by
Tuesday, November 22, 2005, by Noon. MESA will not ship return shipments to
authors and publishers.
