Special Programs
Trinity-in-Istanbul Program: As part of an effort to develop global learning sites,
Trinity College has established a program at Bogaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey
where Trinity students can study for a semester abroad. This program is open to all
Trinity students, regardless of major. Bogaziçi has an international reputation for
scientific research, and can therefore also cater to students who are physical science or
engineering majors. Required coursework includes elementary Turkish language study and a
class on "Topics of Multiculturalism", which focusses on Turkish history and
cultural life. No
previous knowledge of Turkish is necessary, since all of the university's classes are in
English.
