Special Features
Outreach: The Middle East Studies Center has an active outreach program, bridging the academic resources at PSU and the community. This includes such activities as public lecture series, workshops for
educational institutions throughout the state, and sponsoring Middle Eastern concerts and cultural activities.
Summer Offerings: Portland State University cooperates with the Middle Eastern Consortium of western universities to offer an extensive range of language and humanities courses during the summers. In
1996 this was held at PSU, with courses in 16 different departments. Additionally, some languages are offered on campus during the summer
