Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I enroll in a graduate medical anthropology course if I am not an anthropology graduate student?
A: A limited number of seats are available in graduate seminars for non-anthropology students having a background in the health and social sciences.   Seminars are set up to facilitate cross-talk between disciplines and draw on trandisciplinary resources.  In order to gain entrance into a seminar you must speak to the professor first about your motivations for taking the course and your background.   Only in rare exceptions will students be admitted to higher level medical anthropology seminars before taking Anthropology 536A
