ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

1.  Dr H gave a few announcements (see below) and gave a preview of our last major topic: Topic #18 on Impacts, Adaptation & Mitigation.
        ( Dr H's  presentation was just a few slides long -- it will be posted later).

2.  We had a "Sustainability Segment" Guest Presentation: 
    In the 12:30 class, Lon Huber, Associate Director of the ASUA Sustainability Office, spoke
    In the 5:00 pm class, Steve Meth spoke on global change and the people of the Mekong River Basin.

3.  The class then watched the "Kilowatt Ours" video.

ANNOUNCEMENTS  

• Don’t forget your Thinking Deeply report!   Do one of the suggested activites and submit a 1-page report about it (worth 15 points) anytime before midnight on Dec 4th.
   

• I-4 GC Savvy Consumer is now posted – useful links will continue to be added over the next few days
   

• I-5 Global Warming Debate --The Debate Role sign- up sheet is in your Group Folder! Sign up for a role today if you missed class last Thursday.
   

• TEST #4 is on THURSDAY Dec 4th --  the TOP 10 will be posted this weekend.

• In the Kilowatt Ours film, people on the street were asked if they knew where their electricity comes from. Do YOU?  After watching the film, students can get  1 bonus point by researching the source of our Tucson electric power and reporting back with this information in class on the Tuesday Dec 2nd.
