ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

1.  Dr H showed the Group Ecological Footprint results & the group with the lowest footprint got a mini-prize.

2.  Dr H gave a presentation on Topic #6  The Radiation Laws  <== one of the most important topics of the semester!!!

During the lecture, students worked in pairs, etc. to answer a few lecture "self test" questions.  Papers were collected at the end as an attendance check.  Of the papers that got all the questions right, 3 will be randomly selected for a mini-prize to be awarded at the next class.

4. We ran out of time at the end so Dr H will present the details of your next HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT (I-2) and a SUMMARY OF KEY CONCEPTS  in Tuesday's class.  But you can find a summary of the key points at the end of the presentation posted above.  Dr H will go over these next Tuesday.

(1)  RQ-2 was due today, but due to D2L problems, the cutogg was extended to 11:59 pm tonight (Sep 11).  No need to turn in an ABSOLUTION FORM this time.

(2) TEST # 1 is next THURSDAY, Sep 18th  -- the "Top 10 Things to Study" will be posted this weekend in D2L under STUDY GUIDES

(3)  ASSIGNMENT I-2 Sun Safety & the Electromagnetic Spectrum will be posted this weekend under ASSIGNMENTS in D2L – It will be due Thursday Sep 25th and details will be explained during next Tuesday's class.
