3. SCIENTIFIC NOTATION REVIEW: Students were urged to
"brush up" on the scientific notation rules on
p 17 of
CLASS NOTES (when you get your copy)

4. Assignment I-1 was announced -- it will be posted in D2L under ASSIGNMENTS on Wednesday morning 9/3. Please read through it and come to class on Thursday with any questions about how to do it.
1. Please purchase your CLASS NOTES package as soon as possible when it is ready (on Thursday Sep 4th) and bring it to each class with you. You'll definitely need it for this Thursday (Sep 4).

2. ONLINE QUIZ RQ-1 (in D2L) is due on THURSDAY Sep 4th before the posted cutoff time, which is 30 minutes before class starts.
3. OFFICE HOURS for Dr H & the TA's will be posted soon and start at the end of this week.
4. Be sure you've filled out and turned in your yellow
background form. You will be administratively dropped from the course if I
don't get your form in by Thursday Sep 4. C
