Canada:
The climate types for the western coast of Canada included Do – Marine West Coast, H – Rocky Mountain influence, E – Boreal, Subartic, and Ft – Tundra on the western coast. The interior of Canada climate types included Bsk – Semiarid, Steppe, Dcb – Moist Continental, E – Boreal, Subartic, and Ft – Tundra. For the eastern coast of Canada, the climate types included included Dcb – Moist Continental, E – Boreal, Subartic. I was actually surprised when doing the project at how many more climate types Canada besides E – Boreal, Subartic.
For Alberta, except for Fort Vermilion, all of the climographs climate patterns are not really consistent with any one Tewartha types. The Rocky Mountains play a huge role in the resultant patterns causing a rain shadow on the eastern side of them. In my opinion, the temperature patterns somewhat resembled a Do climate temperature range and the precipitation patterns resembled that of the E climate – Boreal subartic.
