About the
Project:
This project aims to discover how cultural and social contexts influence
risk perception and behavior, focusing on the decision to cross or not
cross a flooded roadway or wash. The study fuses theories in risk
perception, risk communication, cultural and social psychology, and
decision science.
We will be conducting a workshop
with flood risk managers and other interested stakeholders to discuss
the possible utility of this type of information in flood
mitigation here in Tucson. |
