Judaic Studies' Correspondence Courses:
Correspondence courses allow students the most freedom in completing
required coursework. Students download a course guide that accompanies
the textbook, complete the required reading and then schedule a time to
take the exam(s). Exams can be taken at an approved facility off campus
or at The University of Arizona Outreach College. Students can take up
to a year complete the course requirements. Grades are awarded for
correspondence courses, they will not calculate into your gpa.
Judaic
Studies' Web-Based Courses:
Lectures and course materials are delivered through
Internet/Web. Students will be given access to password-protected
course web sites. You’ll be given detailed instructions after you’ve
registered.
A web delivered course commits you
to a virtual classroom environment and the schedule is more formal than
a correspondence course. Web delivered courses are flexible in that
students can enter the site at their own convenience yet the exams are
scheduled and timed and assignments have specific due dates. Students
might be asked to engage in discussions, listen to podcasts or watch a
specially streamed film. Unlike correspondence courses, grades awarded
in web delivered course are reflected in a student’s gpa.
Both correspondence and web
delivered courses will require additional fees. |
