For general security awareness, we encourage all employees accessing university data to perform FERPA training. For access to SIS data with UIS, FERPA training is a requirement.

Conditions of Access to Institutional Data

I agree to the following conditions regarding use of institutional resources, and use of, access to and disclosure of institutional data:

1.    I will uphold ethical standards.

2.    I will abide by all applicable law, policy and guidelines.

3.    I will not engage in personal use of institutional data and resources except as expressly authorized pursuant to applicable University policy.

4.    I will not access or disclose data except as expressly authorized pursuant to and consistent with my assigned employment responsibilities and applicable law and policy.

5.    I will not use institutional data or resources for personal or third party gain or profit unless expressly authorized in writing pursuant to applicable University policy.

If I violate these conditions, or applicable law or policy, I may be subject to disciplinary procedures and sanctions up to and including dismissal.
