Major John B. Crump enlisted in the Army in May 1980. He served most of his career
in Special Forces units as an enlisted soldier, NCO and commissioned officer.
After completing Basic Training, Advanced Individual Training (05B), and Jump School he
completed the Special Forces Qualification Course at Ft. Bragg, NC. Assigned to the 10th
Special Forces Group, Ft. Devens, MA in May 2001, he served as an SF Communicator in the
Group Signal Company and on Operational Detachment A (ODA) 315, a team specializing in
mountain operations. After completing the Basic Russian Language Course at the Defense
Language Institute in Monterey, CA, he was again assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 10th
Special Forces Group at Ft. Devens, MA. Again on a Mountain Team, ODA 075, he served as
the Senior Communications NCO then as NCO-in-Charge of the Battalion Communications Section.
MAJ Crump graduated from Officer Candidate School and was commissioned into Military
Intelligence in October 1987. After completing the MI Officers’ Basic Course at Ft. Huachuca,
AZ he served as Commander of the Special Security Detachment at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ.
From there he returned to Special Forces serving initially as the Deputy Director of Intelligence
for the 7th Special Operations Support Command in Bad Tolz, Germany. While assigned there he
deployed to Operations DESERT SHIELD and DESERT STORM supporting Combat Search and Rescue
missions and other Special Operations. Following the Gulf War, he redeployed to the Mid East
to support Operation PROVIDE COMFORT, the largest humanitarian assistance operation ever conducted,
in Northern Iraq and Turkey. Next serving as the Battalion S2 of 1st Battalion, 10th Special
Forces Group and Commander of the battalion’s Military Intelligence Detachment, he served as
the senior intelligence officer on the ground during Operation SILVER ANVIL the Non-Combatant
Evacuation Operation in Sierra Leone Africa in May and June of 1992. During his tour in Germany
he also led a detachment in Joint Combined Training Exercise in Belgium with the Belgian
ParaCommandos and served as a liaison with the 75th Ranger Regiment and the Joint Special
Operations Command.
MAJ Crump returned to the US to complete the MI Officers’ Advanced Course at Ft. Huachuca,
AZ and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of Phoenix.
He then served until August 1987 as a Doctrine Writer at the Intelligence Center and was
the primary author of FM 34-80-1, Intelligence Support to the Digitized Brigade. Until his
retirement in May 2000 he served as an instructor of Military Operations Other Than War in
all of the Intelligence Officer courses at Ft. Huachuca. During that time he also served as a
visiting instructor at the Command and General Staff College and deployed in support of the
Stabilization Force in Bosnia-Herzegovina, a Mobile Training Team in Zadar, Croatia, and the
Intelligence Exchange Program with the Israeli Defense Forces.
At the University of Arizona MAJ Crump has served as the Executive Officer, MSI Instructor,
MSII Instructor and currently as the Commandant of Cadets and MSIII Instructor.

CAPTAIN KERI PASQUINI

She was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army upon Graduation from Gannon University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Science. She attended the Signal Officer Basic Course in February 1999.
Upon completion of the Basic Course, CPT Pasquini’s first duty assignment was at Camp Hialeah, Pusan, Korea, where she served as the Executive Officer and Operations Officer for the 74th Signal Company, 36th Signal Battalion, 1st Signal Brigade from June 1999 to May 2000.
Once departing Korea, she was assigned as Platoon Leader and Executive Officer for HQ & A Company, 442d Signal Battalion at Fort Gordon, Georgia from May 2000 to July 2002. She then attended the Signal Captain Career Course and the S6 Course at Ft. Gordon, Georgia.
After completing the Signal Captain Career Course, CPT Pasquini was assigned as the Signal Officer, 3rd Battalion, 62nd Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 10th Mountain Division at Ft. Drum, New York. In August 2004 she took Command of the Command Post Support Detachment, Network Support Company, Division Special Troops Battalion, 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York. In February 2006 her Detachment went to Afghanistan in support of OEF VII. Upon completion of Command, she was assigned as the Assistant Operations Officer (S3), Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Division Special Troops Battalion, 10th Mountain Division at Ft Drum, New York until March 2007.
CPT Pasquini’s awards and decorations include The Bronze Star Medal, The Army Meritorious Service Medal (w/1 Oak Leaf Cluster), The Army Achievement Medal (w/1 OLC), The National Defense Service Medal, The Afghanistan Campaign Medal, The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, The Korean Defense Service Medal, The Army Service Ribbon, The Overseas Ribbon (w/numeral 2), The NATO ISAF Medal, and The Meritorius Unit Medal.

MSG Monty K. Tuttle joined the Minnesota Army National Guard in 1981 and
attended Basic training and Transport Operator training in Ft Dix, New Jersey.
He completed his obligation to the Minnesota Army National Guard and enlisted in
the active Army in 1985. MSG Tuttle’s first assignment was with Charlie Company,
709th MSB where he progressed to the rank of Sergeant and served as a Squad Leader.
After completing the Primary leadership Course, he attended the Special Forces
Assessment and Selection course in 1989. He attended Basic Airborne school enroute
to FT Bragg, North Carolina where he completed the Special Forces Communications
Sergeant Qualification Course and the basic Polish Language course.
MSG Tuttle reported to Ft Devens, MA in 1991 and served as a Radio Operator in HSC
2-10 SFG (A) and a Special Forces Communicator on ODA-065 serving on a CSAR team
supporting Operation PROVIDE PROMISE from Brindisi Italy, numerous JRTC rotations,
ARTIC SABER I & II conducting long range snowmobile movements in the Canadian North
West Territory, and Partnership for Peace in Poland. In 1994 MSG Tuttle moved with
C/2-10SFG (A) to Ft Carson, Colorado. After completion of the Jump Master
Course and ANCOC he was assigned as the NCOIC of Group Support Company Signal Detachment.
In 1996 MSG Tuttle completed his assignment as the NCOIC of Group Support Company
Signal Detachment and attended the Inter-service Frequency Mangers School (IRFMS)
at Keesler AFB, MS enroute to B/1-10th SFG (A) in Stuttgart, Germany where he was
once again assigned as a Special Forces Communicator on ODA-024 in 1997. He deployed
as the NCOIC of Special Operations Command Control Element Signal Detachment in Tuzla
and Joint Commissioned Observer in the Brcko house for Operation JOINT FORGE;
Operation AUGER EXSPRESS, initial assessment of Albanian and Kosovo borders; Operation
NOBLE ANVIL and ALLIED FORCE for the air campaign in Kosovo; Task Force HAWK,
establishment and subsequent R&S operation at Camp Bondsteel supporting Operation
JOINT Guardian.
In 2001 MSG Tuttle was reassigned to 10th SFG (A) Group Signal Operations Sergeant
where he supervised a 14-soldier staff element and oversaw the operations of a 50
soldier Special Forces Signal Detachment. Additional duties included the management
of a $350,000 O&M budget and Force Modernization monies exceeding $100,000 as well
as the management of 800 CONUS and OCONUS frequency requests and 590 line items of
a Top Secret COMSEC account. As the Force modernization representative he was
responsible for the planning, coordination, resourcing and training associated with
the installation, operation, maintenance, and integration of Group’s newly fielded
systems: AN/PSC-5; AN/PRC-148; AN/PSC-11; TSC-135 (V-1&2); JBS and ISOCA.
In 2003 MSG Tuttle was assigned as the Team Sergeant for ODA-094 in C/3-10 SFG (A).
He deployed with his team in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. After a harrowing
air infiltration during which our MC130 was engaged repeatedly by enemy fire, his
team was instrumental in routing Ansar al Islam terrorists from strongholds in the
Halabja region of Northern Iraq during Operation VIKING HAMMER. Subsequent to this
operation, he took part in offensive operations against the Iraqi Republican Guard
Nebuchadnezzar division, during which time he was wounded by enemy mortar fire.
After the collapse of the Iraqi Army, he participated in negotiations with the Mujaheddin
El Khalik that facilitated a cease-fire. In the period following the end of hostilities,
his ODA took part in Advanced Special Operations, and High Value Target missions, as well
as an assignment as political LNO’s to Kurdish Prime Minister Jalal Talabani.
In 2004 MSG Tuttle returned to1-10 SFG (A) where he served as the Head Quarters and
Support Company First Sergeant where he completed an Undergraduate degree in Business
Administration. After completing his duties as First Sergeant he was assigned as the
Team Sergeant for ODA-012 in A/1-10 SFG(A).
MSG Tuttle’s awards and decorations include: the Bronze Star Medal (1OLC), Purple Heart,
