CAPTAIN
AIMEE HEMERY

In 2001, CPT Hemery attended Basic Camp, Fort Knox, KY, and enrolled into the University of Arizona Army ROTC program. She served as an SMP cadet with the USAR 208th Transportation Company (2001-2003). She graduated in May 2003 with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. CPT Hemery was commissioned into Military Intelligence branch, branch-detailed into the Chemical Corps.

Duty Positions: CPT Hemery has served from 2004 to present in the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC. Her duty positions include Battalion Chemical Officer for 1/82 Aviation Battalion (ABN) (2004-2005); Platoon Leader in 21st Chemical Company (ABN) (2005-2006), where she deployed to conduct decontamination operations in support of Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts in New Orleans, LA; Executive Officer for 21st Chemical Company (ABN) (2006). CPT Hemery is currently deployed to Tallil AB, Iraq, serving as the Assistant S2 Intelligence Officer for 82nd Sustainment BDE. Upon returning from deployment, she will attend the Military Intelligence Captains Career Course, Fort Huachuca, AZ.

Military Schools: Basic Airborne School (2002), Chemical Officer’s Basic Course (2004), and 82nd ABN DIV Jumpmaster Course (2005).

Military Awards and Decorations: Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Metal, Humanitarian Service Metal, National Defense Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Ribbon, Louisiana Emergency Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon. CPT Hemery is authorized to wear the Senior Parachutist Badge, German Proficiency Badge in Gold, the French Forager, and Egyptian Foreign Jump Wings.
