Nominees must be non-probationary classified staff employees who are energetic, conscientious, and concerned with staff issues. Each must be willing to commit a minimum of eight hours a month to SAC activities.

The SAC is composed of 24 to 42 members who advise the University Administration regarding staff concerns. SAC interacts closely with the various departments and serve on various University Committees on campus.

Candidates may be self nominated or nominated by their co-workers or their supervisors.

The Staff Advisory Council usually holds its general meetings the first Tuesday of each month from 3 to 5 p.m. and it is important that members attend to keep informed of timely issues.

SAC general meetings are always open to the public.
The University Community is invited to participate.
